The North Liberty City Council met in special session in Council Chambers for a budget work session. Mayor Franker called the meeting to order at 6:58 p.m.
Council members present: Bahl, Kuhl, Moody, Salm and Wozniak.
Also present were Brian James, Tracey Mulcahey, Jim Warkentin, Guy Goldsmith, Tom Palmer, Don Colony, Greg Metternich, Laura Bergus, Shelly Simpson, Dee Crowner, and interested citizens.
.FY07 Budget.
Council members reviewed the proposed capital expenditures for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.
Department heads reported on needs and proposed budgets to Council
Mayor Franker presented Transit Task Force Report and Clear Creek Amana gymnasium proposal.
Moody presented petition regarding house at 515 W. Penn Street.
Council will receive updated budget packets for the February 14, 2006 Council meeting with a proposed tax rate to remain the same as FY 05’s budget. Funding will be included in the amount of $83,000 for transit and $30,000 for a facilities assessment for all City properties and needs.
The public hearing regarding the budget will be held on February 28, 2006.
Bahl moved, Moody seconded to adjourn at 10:17 p.m. All ayes.
