Minutes
October 6, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Chair Mausser.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Dean Wheatley, City Planner, Ryan Heiar, City Administrator, Mayor Tom Salm, Corinne Lemmage, Adam Bohr, Mary Byers and other interested citizens.
AGENDA APPROVAL: Moore moved, seconded by Frost, to approve the agenda. After discussion, the
vote was: ayes—Frost, Moore, Anderson, Mausser, Detlefson, Haack, nays—none; absent—Wilkerson.
Motion carried.
Public Comment: No public comment was received.
The Boulders LLC, Final Plat. Wheatley explained the process in which The Boulders plat had to go
through to get to the Final Plat stage, and City Staff recommends approval with no conditions.
Haack moved, seconded by Moore, to recommend to City Council approval of The Boulders LLC Final
Plat. After discussion, the vote was: ayes—Frost, Moore, Anderson, Mausser, Detlefson, Haack; nays—
none; absent—Wilkerson. Motion carried.
Minutes: Moore moved, seconded by Haack, to approve the September 1, 2009 Planning Commission
meeting as submitted. The vote was: Frost, Moore, Anderson, Mausser, Detlefson, Haack; nays—none;
absent: Wilkerson.
Old Business: Moore moved, seconded by Haack, to appoint Mausser as the Liaison to the City Council
for a one year term. After discussion, the vote was: ayes—Frost, Moore, Anderson, Detlefson, Haack;
nays—none; abstain—Mausser; absent—Wilkerson. Motion carried.
New Business: Wheatley made the Commission aware of a fence permit application that was before the
Board of Adjustment and was denied. The case was a property that is located on a corner lot where
there is a feeling at the Board that city fence requirements may be too restrictive. Staff will review that ordinance provision and keep the Commission advised.
Cases under development: CJ Construction, Inc site plan for a new warehouse building, located on the west side of Kennel Court near 240th Street.
Adjournment: Moore moved, seconded by Haack, to adjourn the meeting at 6:47 pm. All ayes.
