Front Street paving will require detours, closures

Weather pending, crews expect to place the final layer of asphalt to Front Street and Mehaffy Bridge Road the week of Sept. 22, 2014. The work will require some closures at Cedar Springs Drive, Jefferson Point and South Slope.
The asphalt is expected to be placed on Monday, Sept. 22, and Tuesday, Sept. 23, starting first with the northbound lane and followed by the southbound lane. Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Penn Street and work north for both lanes.
During paving of the southbound lane, Cedar Springs’s entrance will be closed for approximately 30 minutes.
