Road construction: South Front Street

As part of work to increase sanitary sewer capacity to the west of Front Street, Front Street will be reduced to two lanes near James Van Allen Elementary School beginning Monday, March 30, 2015.
Additionally, the sidewalk along the west side of Front Street will also be closed from Vendello Drive to Abigail Avenue. School crossing guards will posted north and south of the closure to help students cross safely to school.
This phase is expected to last into mid-April. Once work on the west side of the road is complete, work on the east side will begin. Two lanes of traffic are expected to remain open during this project.
This work may cause delays. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and to take alternative routes when possible.
