Crews are expected to make the first of two mainline paves to Highway 965 on Thursday, May 28. Work to follow includes a couple weeks of preparation for the second mainline pave, preparation and paving of 240th Street, Scales Bend Road and Dubuque Street, as well as adding signals, striping and other work. Highway 965 and 230th Street will also see a fresh asphalt surface at the completion of the project.
Also, with rain expected Friday, work scheduled to start on Thursday, May 28, to the western portion of the Highway 965 intersection with Penn Street, has been rescheduled to Monday, June 1.
The work on the intersection is expected to disrupt traffic for six to eight weeks, depending on weather. Details about the work, and detour routes, are available here.
Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible.
