North Liberty’s 240th Street has reopened between Jones Boulevard and Highway 965, and Horsfield Construction crews continue to work towards completion of the intersection, including the addition of traffic and pedestrian signals. The reopening allows for the final asphalt surfacing of 230th Street.
Weather permitting, 230th Street will close from 8 Point Trail to Highway 965 at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, for the preparation and placement of a final asphalt overlay on the road. This closure is expected to last about a week. While Highway 965 has already been resurfaced, flaggers may be deployed for periods of time to direct traffic around equipment working at the edges of project.
Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible. Details and updates on this and other North Liberty construction projects are available at northlibertyiowa.org/projects.
