Beginning Thursday, March 24, 2016, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., flaggers will be used on Dubuque Street, near the intersection of North Liberty Road, so crews can perform critical work that will enable two lanes of traffic on Dubuque Street to be maintained in the upcoming work to rebuild the south half of the intersection.
On Thursday, March 24, the crews will perform sawcutting across Dubuque Street and along the street edge where they will be placing temporary pavement. Flaggers will be used in conjuntion wiht this work.
Weather permitting, on Friday, March 25, crews anticipate pouring some of the temporary pavement on the north side of Dubuque Street near the intersection, and flaggers will be present when the concrete trucks are delivering concrete.
Next week, flaggers will again be used to to complete storm sewer work across Dubuque Street as well as for continuing placement of temporary pavement on the north side of Dubuque Street.
Those traveling through this area should expect delays while this work is being completed and the flagger operation is in use. Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible. Details and updates on this and other North Liberty construction projects are available at northlibertyiowa.org/projects.
