North Liberty Police Department annual report for 2015

It is with great pleasure to present the North Liberty Police Departments 2015 Annual Report. Traditionally, monthly updates are provided to the City Council and posted on the city website. This end of the year format is a new way to record the exciting happenings at NLPD and document our history.
2015 presented many challenges to law enforcement nationally. It has been noted that police departments need to be a part of the community before a critical event occurs. Our department is committed to providing the highest level of professional service to our rapidly growing community, and our officers meet that commitment with each engagement with community members.
With this immense growth, we have enjoyed support from the North Liberty City Council, Mayor, administration and citizen to be able to effectively provide service to the community.  This department continues to grow and look at innovative quality of life solutions and crime prevention strategies.  The men and women of the North Liberty Police department are also committed to training, evaluating new technologies, and acquiring equipment needed to do our jobs effectively.  Our calls for service continue to increase as the population increases.  With the challenges and benefits associated with growing pains, the City of North Liberty continues to be a safe place to work, live and raise a family.
