City Hall Closed Wednesday, April 24, for Move

City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, so staff can move from the current, leased offices to the new, permanent building.

The final day of operations at 3 Quail Creek Center will be Tuesday, April 23.

City Hall will reopen at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Minutes

  1. Call to order.

Hoffman called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.

  1. Roll call.

Present were commissioners Hoffman, Wells and Fields. Also present: Nick Bergus, Jillian Miller, Stefan Juran. Commissioners Arnold and Gattas were absent.

  1. Public comment for items not on the agenda.

There was none.

  1. Introduction of Commissioner Keshia Fields.

Commissioner Fields offered a brief introduction.

  1. Cable provider updates.

Bergus reported on the progress of a customer complain about an unbury cable drop.

  1. Staff report.

Bergus and Miller reported on the department’s activities, including Blues & BBQ, Porchfest and Snapchat.

  1. Approval of minutes.

Wells moved, Fields seconded, to approve the minutes 6:15 p.m. with all voting in favor.

  1. Old business.

Bergus discussed staff dissatisfaction with the North Liberty app. Staff will continue to work with the service provider.

  1. New business.

There was none.

  1. Next meeting date.

The Commission agreed to convene next on Sept. 12.

Wells moved, Fields seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m. with all voting in favor.
