NLFD’s Salute to Summer this weekend

The Annual North Liberty Firefighter Foundation’s Salute to Summer is this Saturday, August 20 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Scales Pointe/Bobbers Grill at 1850 Scales Bend Road in North Liberty. Activities include a climbing wall, inflatable rides, silent auction, junior firefighter activities and live music by Two Buck Chuck. Refreshments and food will be served the entire day. Registration for the motorcycle Poker Run begins at 8:30 a.m. at the North Liberty Fire Station and the ride begins at 10 a.m.

Salute to Summer is the one and only fundraiser held by the North Liberty Firefighter Foundation. Funds raised will be directed to the North Liberty Fire Department for firefighter and EMT training as well as community support efforts and fire equipment expenses.
