Application for social service funding now available

Each year, the City of North Liberty funds a number of organizations who offer social services to North Liberty residents, including the Family Resource Centers at its elementary schools, the Johnson County Housing Trust Fund, and the North Liberty Community Pantry. As part of its budget for the current fiscal year, the North Liberty City Council set aside $12,000 in discretionary funding for social service programs and projects serving North Liberty residents.

The funds will be allocated in two rounds, with applications for the first round due Sept. 30, 2016. The first round will be awarded at the City Council’s Oct. 11, 2016, meeting. Second-round applications will be accepted until Jan. 3, 2017, with awards made Jan. 10, 2017.
