Pig & Pint Prelude to benefit North Liberty Blues & BBQ

Pig & Pint PreludeOrganizers of North Liberty Blues & BBQ presented by Veridian Credit Union invite supporters of the event to purchase tickets to the Pig & Pint Prelude, a private fundraiser on July 7, 2017, the evening before the annual festival.

The official kick-off to Blues & BBQ weekend will raise funds to support the festival’s commitment to keeping admission to the Saturday event free for all attendees. Ticket holders can expect a mouthwatering, hog-roast-style, barbecue buffet prepared by Mosley’s, cold pours from the Iowa Craft Beer Tent, and music from international blues pianist–and Johnson County resident Chase Garrett, all under the big tent in Centennial Park. Gates will open and food and drink will be available starting at 6 p.m., with entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. The night will be casual, and should wrap up around 9:30 p.m. No formal program is planned, just good old fashioned community building. The Pig & Pint Prelude is open to all ages, but there will be no organized kids’ activities.

Space is limited to only 500 attendees. All-inclusive individual tickets and tables are available for purchase online for $45/ticket or $260 for a table of 6 through May 31. Tickets will increase to $55/ticket or $320/table on June 1. To guarantee seats together with friends or family, organizers encourage reserving a table for 6, as individual tickets will have no assigned seating.

The Pig & Pint Prelude would not be possible without the generous support of Veridian Credit Union, Adam Schechinger State Farm, University of Iowa Community Credit Union, and Junge Ford North Liberty. Other community sponsors of North Liberty Blues & BBQ include AW Welt Ambrisco Insurance, Think Iowa City, Shive-Hattery, MidWestOne Bank, North Liberty Optimists, FOX Engineering, Hills Bank and Trust Company, Johnson County Refuse, JM Swank, Rockwell Collins, US Bank, Urban Acres, Casey’s General Store, Port O Jonny and the City of North Liberty.
