NLPD warns of potential scam

Officers of the North Liberty Police Department were alerted to a probable scam after a member of the community received a letter claiming to be from a financial adviser attempting to make contact to facilitate a transfer of funds. In this situation, once the scammer makes contact with a participant, the scammer follows up with a request for personal information or a fee to collect the fictitious prize.
