Flying kites for child abuse prevention

April is Child Abuse Prevention month and to raise awareness, the Johnson County Community Partnership for Protecting Children hosted their annual Kites for Kids festival at North Central last Saturday. The event provides free kites to families and encourages efforts that promote community responsibility for the safety and well-being of children throughout Johnson County.
