Community Library - Library Page
The North Liberty Community Library is accepting applications for a Library Page. This is a part-time position; evenings and weekends at 20 hours per week. Applications may be picked up at the library until August 20. Post offer drug screening and physical required. Must be at least 16-years-old. Fire Department - Volunteer Firefighters
The North Liberty Volunteer Fire Department is looking for individuals over the age of 18 who live or work in Penn or Madison Townships (this includes all of North Liberty and some surrounding area) to serve as volunteer firefighters. We currently are seeking those available weekdays between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Address questions to Chief Eric Vandewater or Asst. Chief Bryan Hardin. Recreation Department - Aquatic Facility Positions
The Recreation Department is accepting applications for pool personnel such as lifeguards and swim lesson instructors. Opportunities currently include part time and full time positions for summer. Recreation Department - Class Instructors, Aerobics Instructors
The Recreation Department is continually seeking individuals interested in teaching a variety of leisure and fitness classes on a contractual basis. Recreation Department - Recreation Counselors
Supervise children for Recreation Center’s Before & After School Program. Work directly with children in leading games, activities, arts, and crafts. Light cleaning duties are involved as well. Part-time Positions: 10-30 hrs per week. Work Schedule: Before school: M-F 7:00-9:00am, After School: M-F 2:30-6:00pm. TH 1:30-6:00. Other youth programs as needed. We will work around your schedule!

Job Beginning/Ending Dates: August 1st- year round position. Qualifications: 18 years or older.

Starting Wage: $8.28 per hour, paid every other week.

Police Department - Police Officers
The City of North Liberty is accepting résumés for the position of Police Officer. Both certified and non-certified résumés are being accepted. Applicants must meet minimum state standards and are required to live within 20 minutes of North Liberty. Post-offer physical and drug screen required. Send résumé and three professional references to: North Liberty Police Dept. P.O. Box 77, North Liberty, IA 52317-0077. Application Deadline is September 19, 2008.

The Police Department will be adding two full-time officers. Current certified Iowa Law Enforcement officers will be given first consideration. All applicants must meet ILEA standards. The post test and physical testing will be required of non-certified officers.

Police Department currently works 10-hour shifts with every other weekend off. Uniforms and duty belt items provided by Police Department. Minimum annual starting salary is $33,000 for non-certified officers and $35,000 for certified officers plus an excellent benefit package. One week of vacation is granted after six months of employment and two weeks after the first year. The Police Department hires additional officers each year due to the growth of the community

Recreation Department - Front Desk/Building Monitor

10 to 20 hours per week answering phones, greeting patrons, handling registrations, and supervising the facility. The possible hours that we need are M-F 4:30-9:15 and Saturday and Sunday 8:00-1:00, and 1:00-6:00. There could also be additional hours for special events though out the year.

Recreation experience preferred. Also preference will be given to applicants that can work Iowa Football Saturdays. Starting Wage: $8.28 per hour, paid every other week.

City of North Liberty - School Crossing Guard

Applications are being accepted for School Crossing Guard with the City of North Liberty. Hours are 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. Salary is $14.86 per crossing.
