-The Police Department ended the month of July at 3,255 calls for service for
the year.
-July had 495 calls for service.
-13 Vehicle inspections were completed this month.
-Police Officer Steve Becker was hired and has started work. Officer Becker is
currently in is Field Training Phase.
-S.T.E.P Grant was conducted July 2nd to the 6th.
-163 Grant enforcement was held July 30th with County wide law enforcement
agencies. First part of the safety check point was held in North Liberty on
Dubuque Street. Totals for N.Liberty Officers during the event are as follows:
54 safety checks, 1 OWI arrest and 4 warnings, 2 seat belts citations and 10
warnings, 1 no DL citation and 3 warnings, 1 charge for driving while revoked, 5
registration warnings, 1 tinted window citation, 24 equipment warnings, 2 proof
insurance citations and 12 warnings, 1 citation for other violation.
