April 21 , 12:00 pm – 2:00 pmFree
The annual Kites for Kids Festival is a free family-friendly event, held to raise awareness of child abuse and local prevention efforts. A product of Johnson County Community Partnerships for Protecting Children, this year’s event is being organized with help from Johnson County Social Services & Public Health and the City of North Liberty Administration, Police & Fire Departments. While supplies last, attendees will receive a free kite which they can construct on-the-spot and fly with other participants in the athletic field at North Central Junior High School. Alternatively, you may bring your own kite to fly alongside your neighbors. Treats and beverages will be available, as well as bubbles and pinwheels for the little ones.
