Government
The City of North Liberty is governed by a mayor and City Council. There are a variety of boards and commissions that review department reports, planning requests, library policy and park updates. Councilors are elected for a four term, while Commissioners are typically appointed for three year terms. Boards review reports and proposals in order to make recommendations to the City Council.
The City Administrator operates the daily business of the city and reports to the City Council.
Both precincts 1 and 2 for North Liberty residents vote at the Community Center, which is located at 520 W. Cherry. More information about precincts and voting can be found at the Johnson County Auditor Web site: http://www.johnson-county.com/auditor/voter/precinct.htm.
