Hometown: Waterloo, Iowa.
What brought you to North Liberty? I wanted to live in a place that really felt like “home” after graduating from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and accepting my first pharmacist position. It didn’t take long for me to figure out North Liberty was that place.
What’s your favorite thing about North Liberty? The depth of opportunities– whether business/entrepreneurship or lifestyle/recreation – in this community. We have so many great businesses and restaurants in addition to fantastic parks and trails, library programming, and community events like Blues & BBQ and Beat the Bitter.
What are your goals for serving the city? Engaging more members of the community in all aspects of city government and helping to improve the city’s ability to meet the community’s needs.
Hobbies: Biking, running 5Ks, serving on the Friends of the Animals Center Foundation Board, the North Liberty Chamber Steering Committee, and as a Chamber Ambassador.
Best piece of advice: It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.
Something about me that would surprise people: I have traveled to Europe, but never to Canada or Mexico.
One word to describe me: Invested.
