NLTV is a local access P.E.G. Station = Public,
Education, & Government.
What does that mean?
The programming on North Liberty Television is produced by NLTV
staff, members of the public, and other community non-profit or
government organizations. The mission of our PEG channel is to provide a
medium for public, educational, and government programming.
NLTV staff produce programs that capture and convey information and
events that take place in or are directly related to the City. This
ranges from simple coverage of local business openings and
City-sponsored events to complex "project videos" exploring the history
of the area or detailing City procedures and services in order to raise
public awareness.
NLTV also produces various video programs for local non-profit
organizations, such as Heritage Christian School and the North Liberty
Family Resource Center. In addition, staff create shows in cooperation
with local businesses or residents, the end product being a
public-service or educational program.

As a member of the public, you can produce shows as
well. We accept programs locally-produced as well as from afar, as long
as it is non-commercial in nature. It is important that everyone has
access to this media outlet!
NLTV also shows programming produced by other local access stations,
such as Coralville or Iowa City.
Most of the shows on NLTV pertain
to local matters and events.

The channel is cablecast 24 hours per day
from the Community Programming Office in our very own North Liberty
Community Center at 520 W. Cherry Street. We also show LIVE
public meetings from the council chambers, across from City Hall. These
include City Council, Planning & Zoning, and Telecommunications
Commission meetings.
NLTV is seen on cable channel 5 in North Liberty. Unfortunately, NLTV is
not available to satellite-TV subscribers (DirecTV, Dish Network, etc.)
However, Mediacom and South Slope cable customers both see NLTV on
channel 5.

* NLTV is more than entertaining and useful video programming. We also
broadcast our informative Bulletin Board, which features important
community information, announces local events, and more. Any
not-for-profit organization or group can get the word out about their

Video Duplication/Transfer!
* We also have the capability to
transfer analog (VHS, etc.) video to DVD format. We can also duplicate
your existing video tape or DVD (as long as it isn't copyrighted) onto
high-quality digital or analog media. Want old home videos on DVD? Is
your current training video wearing out? No problem! Here are our
