Photo-awcity
Get those cameras out! Everyone is encouraged to take photos throughout the community and submit their five favorite into our contest! Entries will be judged on November 1. Contest winners will be given a $25 gift certificate to the North Liberty Community Center and photo will be published in our next brochure. No digital imaging is allowed, only original photos will be accepted. Photo size will be 5 x 7.

North Liberty Farmers’ Market
The North Liberty Farmers’ Market, sponsored by the City of North Liberty and the Recreation Department, is an open-air market held on the north parking lot of the NL Community Center. The market is intended to provide an opportunity for individuals to sell approved items that are grown or made by them. The offering for sale of any item acquired from others, either for resale or on consignment, is not permitted. The market is limited to individuals only; civic, fraternal or religious groups will not be permitted to sell.

Family Swim Nights
Sunday afternoons are reserved for the family. Children pay normal admission while parents are admitted free.
Ages: 13 years and older.
Session: September 7-December 21 (No class Dec. 28)

Fee: Children; Normal rates, Parents FREE

North Liberty Fun Run/Walk
Join this run or walk for fun and fitness! All ages and ability levels welcome. Hosted by the North Liberty Committee of
the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce. Registration forms available online and at the NL Community Center and
local banks. Sponsors include: Mercy Iowa City, MercyCare, Progressive Rehab Associates.

Time: Check in and same day registration at 8:30 AM, race starts at 9:00 AM
Location: North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry Street. Registration & Start line.
Fee: $10 for registration before September 8. (Includes one t-shirt) Registration after Sept. 8 is $15 (t-shirt not guaranteed)
Children 12 and younger are free but must be accompanied by adult.

Moonlight Hayrack Ride
Join us for an old fashioned hayrack ride for all ages! This year our ride will take place at the Colony Farm off of Front
Street. We will provide snacks, hot cocoa, hot cider and a campfire. Rides are approximately 30-45 minutes. This is not
a haunted hayrack ride- it is intended for all ages. We are also adding some new features! Pre-registration is required.
Ages: All ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Date: Friday, October 17. Rain date if needed will be Sat., October 18th.

Haunted Happenings
The Recreation Center gets spooky! Tunnel, mazes, carnival games and fun! Come in costume and have a frightful time.
Snacks,drinks and candy supplied by NL Optimist Club & North Liberty Recreation Department.
Ages: All ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Firefighters Dance
The North Liberty Fire Department is sponsoring this event at the South Slope Community Center, 980 N Front Street.
There will be a social time from 6:00-8:00PM with a silent auction ending around 10:00PM. The band Crazy Delicious,
www.crazydeliciousband.com will be playing from 9:00PM-1:00AM. There will also be a raffle throughout the night. Come
support your North Liberty Fire Department. Free admission, donations accepted at door!

Fee: Goodwill donations to benefit the Fire Department.

Breakfast with Santa
Santa will be waiting for the kids to enjoy a donut hole, juice, and craft. Kids can sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they
would like for Christmas.

Santa Calls Night
Santa will call your child between 6:00-7:30PM to find out his/her wishes for Christmas. Kids can tell Santa just how good
they were over the course of the year. This is the one and onlychance where Santa will call your house! Please pick up and
complete the registration form at the North Liberty Recreation Center.
Ages: Children 4 - 8 years old
Date: Monday, December 15
Time: Santa will call between 6:00 and 7:30 PM
Fee: FREE; Registration forms available at the Community
Center; Registration Deadline: Friday, December 12.

Holiday Decoration Drive
Come and enjoy a ride around the area to see the lights of the holiday season. Hot cocoa and coffee provided for the ride.
