North Liberty Porchfest Returns August 11

The residents of Arlington Ridge neighborhood invite all music lovers to their subdivision for the third annual North Liberty Porchfest on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 3 to 8 p.m. A New Orleans-style second line bicycle parade will precede the event at 2:30 p.m.

At this free family-friendly festival, porches and driveways become stages, and nearly 30 performers are volunteering to share their talents across seven stages on Canterbury Street and Whitman Avenue. Attendees are encouraged to bring along lawn chairs and blankets, stroll the streets listening to musicians and connect with fellow residents. Additional free activities throughout the afternoon include a silent disco, inflatables, virtual adventure games, rock star hair styling, musical crafts, food trucks and more. An interactive map is available to help guests plan their day.

Attendees are encouraged to park at the Penn Meadows Park north lot and follow the walking trail to all the fun. Residential street parking will also be available but will fill up quickly.

Open container is not allowed off private property and SmokeFree Air Iowa Act mandates no smoking at the festival.
