Lane Reduction on Dubuque Street at Main Street on Friday

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019, MidAmerican Energy will reduce Dubuque Street to one lane at Main Street near Reds Alehouse. The lane reduction will be controlled by flaggers.

The closure is required so the utility company can relocate its infrastructure. The lane is expected to reopen around 5 p.m.

Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible.

Liberty Homecoming Parade to Hit North Liberty Road

Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, the Liberty High School community will celebrate its homecoming with a parade. The school’s second parade is scheduled for 6:15 to 7 p.m. and will require the closure of several streets near Liberty High School for the route.

The following roads will be closed during the parade:

  • North Liberty Road from Dubuque Street to the north to Salm Drive.
  • Abraham Drive from North Liberty Road to the west to Anne Boulevard.
  • Anne Boulevard from Abraham Drive to the south to Mary Lane.
  • Mary Lane to the southeast from Anne Boulevard to Tartan Drive.
  • Tartan Drive to the east from Mary Lane to North Liberty Road.
