After continued consultation with local medical, public health and emergency management officials, Iowa City Mayor Bruce Teague, Coralville Mayor John Lundell and North Liberty Mayor Terry Donahue urge residents to take all necessary precautions to stay healthy in effort to assist our local healthcare providers as they respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Liberty Homecoming Parade to Impact North Liberty Road Traffic

Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, the Liberty High School community will celebrate its homecoming with a parade. The school’s second parade is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will require the closure of several streets near Liberty High School for the route.

The following roads will be closed during the parade:

  • North Liberty Road from Dubuque Street to the north to Salm Drive.
  • Abraham Drive from North Liberty Road to the west to Anne Boulevard.
  • Anne Boulevard from Abraham Drive to the south to Mary Lane.
  • Mary Lane to the southeast from Anne Boulevard to Tartan Drive.
  • Tartan Drive to the east from Mary Lane to North Liberty Road.
