Have leaves to the curb by Nov. 30 for the final round of curbside collection

City crews will soon begin the final pass through North Liberty. To ensure collection, residents should have the leaves to the curb by 7 a.m., Monday, Nov. 30, 2020.

Crews will not return to any street once collection there has been completed, including for leaves raked after the area has been collected or for piles crews couldn’t collect due to parked cars.

Final collection will take longer than previous years as we make operational changes to protect the health of our staff and so they are available for priority tasks such as snow removal.

Road closure: Watercress Road and Cattail Lane at West Lake Road

Crews from the City of North Liberty will be performing road repairs in the West Lake subdivision area starting Monday, June 15, and lasting through Friday, June 5 that will require road closures and detours. These closures are to repair concrete and will require minor detours.

Two intersections will be affected; Watercress Road and Cattail Lane will both be closed at West Lake Road. Traffic will be detoured to West Zeller Street and Sunset Drive. Additional work is expected to follow in the following weeks.

Drivers are asked to use caution around the work site, allow extra travel time, and find alternative routes when possible. Details and updates on this and other North Liberty construction projects are available at northlibertyiowa.org/projects.
