Recreation Challenges You to Challenge Yourself with Squash Bend Resolution

Start off your New Year’s resolution by joining our monthly fitness challenges. Named for the area before it become North Liberty, Squash Bend Resolution challenges recreation patrons high-school aged and older, whether pass holders or a daily drop-in users, to challenge themselves and each other to be active.

Each month, we’ll host challenges, and those who complete one can win some prizes thanks to Sugar Bottom Bikes, We Run, Scheels and 365 Nutrition. Every patron who completes all four months will get a T-shirt and be entered to win a year-long, all-access Black and Gold pass.

January

Bike or use an elliptical to complete a total of 60 miles.

February

Complete 300 total reps (about 10 per day) of the following:

  • Jumping Jacks
  • Burpees
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Pushups
  • Sit ups or crunches

March

In honor of the 64 teams playing in the March Madness tournament, you must complete 64 reps on any or a combination of our weight machines for 4 of the 7 days a week.

April

Wrap up the challenge by walking or running 30 miles or  30 minutes of physical activity outside everyday.
