City Hall Closed Wednesday, April 24, for Move

City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, so staff can move from the current, leased offices to the new, permanent building.

The final day of operations at 3 Quail Creek Center will be Tuesday, April 23.

City Hall will reopen at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Swim with Princesses June 25 or July 16 at the Outdoor Pool

Register for a free special swimming event with a island and mermaid princesses at the North Liberty’s outdoor pool.

The five Ws

  • Who: Children and their caregivers.
  • What: A magical experience with your favorite island and sea princesses.
  • Where: North Liberty Aquatic Center Outdoor Pool, 520 W Cherry St.
  • When: Two dates are available
    • Sunday, June 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration is free, but required, and opens on June 18 at 8 a.m..
    • Sunday, July 16 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is free, but required, and opens on July 9 at 8 a.m..
  • Why: Free mid-summer fun.

Registration

Space is limited to 150 children on each date, so registration is free — but required — for the June 25 event or July 16 event through RecDesk (please only register children, not caregivers). Registration opens one week before each event date.

What to expect

  • Meet and greet with island princess Moana and mermaid princess Ariel on the pool deck.
  • Attendees are welcome to wear their prince, princess or mermaid costumes — but don’t forget your swimsuit!
  • Complimentary snacks and crafts in a party favor bag.
  • Free swimming. Parents should plan to be in the water with any swimmers who need assistance.
  • Limited items will be available for purchase from the concession stand.

  • Parents must be attendance with any children who have not completed 5th grade.
  • In the event of inclement weather, the events would be canceled and registered attendees would be notified via email.
  • Only coastguard-approved floatation devices are allowed.
  • The use of tobacco, nicotine, vape and other electronic smoking devices are prohibited in North Liberty parks, trails and public recreation areas.
