Golden Turkey Hunt Clue for Nov. 29

Each Tuesday in November, we’ll release on this website a clue to find a hidden medallion located somewhere on public property in North Liberty. The first person to find the medallion and return it to the Recreation Department’s front desk will win the week’s prize. If the prize isn’t claimed by noon on Friday, we’ll release a second clue. This week’s prize is a Holiday Meals package:

  • A holiday family meal for six people from Z’s Catering
  • A second holiday family meal pack to give to a family of your choice
  • $100 gift cards for North Liberty Recreation Department programming

Check Gifts Off Your List with Local Vendors on Dec. 3

Get a jump on your holiday shopping by visiting local crafters, makers and vendors at the Community Center.

The five Ws

  • Who: Anyone with a list of gifts to give
  • What: An opportunity to shop from local crafters and vendors
  • Where: Roberts Gym in the North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St.
  • When: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 3, 2022
  • Why: Shop locally for handmade and hard-to-find gifts

What to expect

About 40 local crafters, vendors and sellers will have a wide variety of items for sale just down the hall from Breakfast with Santa and the Friends of the Library’s Holiday Cookie Walk.

  • Your holiday shopping list
  • A variety of payment forms
  • Reusable shopping bags

How to get there

Walk, bike or drive to the Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St. Parking is available onsite.

Are you a local vendor looking to get involved? Contact Matt Meseck at (319) 626-5750 or [email protected] Vendors pay $15 per 10-by-10-foot space (and may purchase more than one if needed) and supply their own table but the Recreation Department will provide chairs. Electricity is available if needed.
