City Hall Closed Wednesday, April 24, for Move

City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, so staff can move from the current, leased offices to the new, permanent building.

The final day of operations at 3 Quail Creek Center will be Tuesday, April 23.

City Hall will reopen at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

This week Yang Chow Wok is catering! Lunch will be followed by a presentation from Mary Jo Netz, talking about Equity Home Conversion (reverse mortgage). Meals are just $5 per person. Registration is required for all who attend lunch, and should be done before noon on Thursday, March 23rd. Cook the Book

North Libert Library – Meeting Room B 

There’s still time to pick a recipe for Cook the Book! Attendees will choose a recipe from Milk Street: Tuesday Nights by Christopher Kimball, make it, and bring to share! Registration is required in person at the library where staff will photo copy your chosen recipe from the book. Then, Thursday the 23rd we will meet in the library taste the different recipes!

Coralville Public Library Movie Night 

Wednesday, March 29 

6 PM 

Coralville Public Library – Schwab Auditorium 

Free screening of Top Gun: Maverick (starring Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, and others) at CPL! The movie is approximately 2 hours long and rated PG-13. The showing will be in the library basement, and there is basement parking available!

Stanley Sage Event with Linzee Kull McCray

Stanley Museum of Art – Lobby 

Stanley Sage is an art program with older adults in mind. The museum has invited a local older adult to tell their art story and connect it to the Stanley collection. The presenter for this event will be Linzee Kull McCray, who will discuss her career, what inspires her, and the art, textiles, and craft she’s encountered through her writing and the people she’s met. Pastries and coffee will be served.
