Dig out your sleeping bags and tent or prepare the camper — it’s time to make plans to attend Camp North Liberty Friday, June 23 through Saturday, June 24. City staff camp counselors have prepared a full evening of activities for a community campout under the stars. Join the adventure to earn your 2023 Camp North Liberty sticker badge.

The five Ws

  • Who: You! Campers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
  • What: A free community campout with live music, dinner, swimming, an outdoor movie and more.
  • Where: The North Liberty Community Center and surrounding property.
  • When: Friday, June 23 through Saturday, June 24
  • Why: Enjoy the outdoors as a community!

Camping

Three overnight camping options are available: lawn tent camping, camper/RV lot parking or inside the lower level of the Community Center. This event is free and registration is not needed, however staff would appreciate hearing from groups who plan to attend so they can plan accordingly. Please share your camping intention through this form.

Lawn tent camping

The great lawn surrounding the Community Center will be open for attendees to pitch their own tents. Groups should check in at the small shelter near the trail on the north side of the building between 3 and 7 p.m. where they will be directed to a lawn space.

Camper/RV lot parking

Campers are welcome to park in the north lot. Light poles with standard outlet power are available to plug into. If more than a standard 15-amp outlet is needed, RVs should plan to be self-sufficient. Upon arrival, please check in with City staff at the small shelter on the north side of the building between 3 and 7 p.m.

Inside camping

Those without outdoor camping gear (or prefer air conditioning) are still encouraged to attend! The Gerdin Conference Center located in the lower lever of the Community Center will be available for indoor overnight accommodations. Guests need to bring along pillows, blankets and anything else they may need to sleep on a carpeted floor.
