Join the University of Iowa Chess Club to play and learn chess in a casual, low-stakes environment. This group is open to everyone from the complete beginner to the tournament player. All ages are welcome.

It’s once again time for board games and card games! We’ll have snacks, coffee, and plenty of fun games to try. Converse with friends old and new while defeating them in Uno, Chess, Dominos, or another favorite!

We’re at the first Friday of the month again, so don’t forget to register! Hy-Vee is expected to bring meat lasagna and garlic sticks this week. After lunch we’ll have a few rounds of Bingo, which is free to play with the chance to win small prizes! Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend, Euchre Club is free, no registration required. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, June 6th. Immersing audiences in the soundscapes and rhythms rooted in many Latin American cultures. Edgar East and Karin Stein’s work is shaped by their life-long personal and professional experiences: both are immigrants to the United States who have undergone firsthand the process of adaptation to a new culture. The duo performs a wide range of musical styles and instruments from Latin America and the Caribbean, from mellow to upbeat, from traditional to contemporary.
