Donate Gently Used Youth Costumes to North Liberty’s Costume Closet
Clean out the costumes your kids have outgrown and shop North Liberty’s Costume Closet.
During September, the North Liberty Library will host a costume drive to collect gently used Halloween costumes that still have more trick-or-treating left in them.
Collection boxes can be found in the Community Center in both the library and recreation lobbies. Accepted items include:
- Costumes appropriate for children birth through 12 years old
- Costume accessories
- No wigs, recital outfits or makeup, please
Staff will organize the donations and hold a free Costume Closet event on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the library. Each adult can take one costume per child (two costumes maximum) and any relevant accessories. You do not need to donate to the event to be able to shop.
Costumes that aren’t snagged on Oct. 1 will be donated to the North Liberty Community Closet.
And don’t miss North Liberty’s annual Halloween Walk — a stroll with friendly ghosts and treats around Liberty Centre Pond —scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11, 2024. Full event details to come at northlibertyiowa.org/CitySlate.
