Hydrant Flushing for Fall 2024 Begins Soon

North Liberty’s Water Department will be flushing hydrants throughout town over the next couple months. Flushing hydrants is part of the department’s regular maintenance of the municipal drinking water system. Flushing is expected to last into November.

Occasionally, flushing can release rust from iron pipes and temporarily discolor the tap water. The water is still safe, but users should simply let the water run until it clears.
