November Writers Group
Mondays in November

North Liberty Library – Meeting Room A
Calling all writers! Novelists, play-writes, poets, and non-fiction writers alike, come to the library for a month of writing support. Whether you are doing NaNoWriMo, Poem a Day (PAD), another writing challenge, or just want to connect with other writers, we’re here for you and we have snacks!
We’ll set goals, play writing games, vent our writing frustrations, and do some sprints all while encouraging each other to keep that pen on the page (or fingers on the keyboard).
Bring your device or notebook and a friend!

Along with our usual board game day, we’ll be learning how to play Mahjong this week!
Join us each week for a social gathering full of activities and friendly conversation – board games, puzzles, art, book discussions, and more! No registration required.
Trivia Night

Who doesn’t love a good battle of the brains? Invite your friends to join us for a night of trivia, snacks and small prizes! Teams can be made up of five people or fewer, but you don’t have to bring a team. Individuals can work together or separately.

Hy-Vee is catering again this week and they are expected to bring meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and buttered corn. After the meal we will have Trevor Meyer talk to us about changes in Medicare. Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend lunch. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, November 7th . CLUB 24 is a program for adults and seniors to socialize over University of Iowa Athletics.
Patrons can sign up online, over the phone, or in person at the Community Center.
On November 11th we’ll be watching the Iowa vs. UCLA game.
Living Room Conversations: Political Peace Building

Join us for an engaging Living Room Conversation the process of building peace with one another following a national election. The event will be held at the North Liberty Library on Thursday, November 14th from 6-8pm. This thought-provoking event aims to promote open dialogue and active listening to build bridges and learn from one another. Participants will explore personal experiences and perspectives in a respectful environment, fostering skills to tackle complex topics while suspending judgments. Register.
