Eras in the Park Pays Tribute to Taylor Swift on July 10 in North Liberty

There’s a lot going on at the moment in North Liberty. It’s a cruel summer, but we’re making it golden with a free all-ages outdoor concert celebrating the iconic eras of Taylor Swift!

Are you ready for it? Because City of North Liberty’s masterminds are transforming Penn Meadows Park into a wonderland—a place to shake it off and dance like you’re made of starlight.

Whether you’re feeling 22, embracing your lover era, or just trying to breathe in the enchanted summer night, this is your chance to make the whole place shimmer. So make the friendship bracelets, grab your cardigan, pack your picnic blanket, and come out of the woods—because July 10th will be a love story, and baby, just say yes!

Here’s what’s happening when

Swifities are invited to arrive to the park at 6:30 p.m. to trade bracelets, collect giveaways, interact with sponsors and grab a bite to eat before the 8 p.m. show.

6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Preshow

  • Grab dinner from food vendors (vendors listed below).
  • Engage with and receive goodies from sponsors supporting this free event, including:

    • Think Iowa City
  • Capture the moment with several photo opportunities throughout the park.
  • Trade friendship bracelets with fellow attendees.

Concert

A 90-minute thrilling outdoor concert that spans the entire spectrum of Taylor Swift’s illustrious career.

Swift Nation is not just a band; it’s a time-traveling musical expedition. From the country-infused melodies of Taylor’s early albums to the chart-topping pop hits that followed, they meticulously recreate every era, allowing you to dance and sing along to your favorite Taylor Swift classics.

Swift Nation Tribute is a cover band that has no association with Taylor Swift, her brand or corporate entities in any way. This show is fan-sponsored and not endorsed by or affiliated with TAS Rights Management, Taylor Swift, or their affiliated entities.

How to snag a VIP ticket

While the concert and preshow activities are free, VIP experience tickets are available for $10.

Limited to 50 people per 30 minute time slot, either at 6:30 or 7:00 p.m., these 100 VIP guests will:

  • Meet Melody Ebner before the show.  Melody is the driving force behind the tribute show, with a voice that commands attention and a passion for Taylor Swift’s artistry.
  • Receive a VIP lanyard — autographed by Melody — to wear during the concert.
  • An opportunity to snap your own photo during the meet and greet.
  • Invitation to pre-order a “In My North Liberty Era” T-shirt for an additional $15 (a $5 discount from the $20 shirt sold at the merchandise tent).

Merchandise

“In My North Liberty Era” T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20 at the merchandise tent near the stage, along with a variety of other items from the Swift Nation Tribute Band.

Pre-orders are only available for VIP guests, but if you plan on buying a shirt at the event, please indicate the size you would be interested in through this online form to help event organizers prepare appropriate inventory for the merchandise booth.

Food and drink

A variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the park beginning at 6:30 p.m. Picnics are also welcome.

This is an alcohol-free event. Staff will ask anyone found in possession of alcohol to dispose of it or leave the event.

What to bring (and leave at home)

Please come:

  • Dressed in Swiftie attire inspired by your favorite era!
  • With a lawn chairs or a blanket, as the concert will take place on a grass lawn and seating is not provided. The area directly in front of the stage will be reserved for standing and dancing.
  • With cash or a card, if you plan on purchasing food. Picnics are also welcome.

Leave at home:

  • Alcohol. This is an alcohol-free event. Staff will ask anyone found in possession of alcohol to dispose of it or leave the event.
  • Pets. As much as we love dogs, with the number of people expected to attend we need to ask your dog, no matter how well behaved, to stay home.
  • Pop-up tents or other shade structures that can block sightlines of the stage.
  • The use of tobacco, nicotine, vape and other electronic smoking devices are prohibited in North Liberty parks, trails and public recreation areas.

Where to park

This event will take place outdoors in the center of Penn Meadows Park, located at 355 E Penn St). Parking is available in the park’s north and south lots, at City Hall, Penn Elementary and nearby public streets.
