It’s time for jigsaw puzzles! Bring a friend, we’ll bring the puzzles! Well have puzzles that are 300 pieces or less so that you can put them together during our hour long program. We’ll also have coffee and snacks!
Join us each week for a social gathering full of activities and friendly conversation – board games, crafts, puzzles, book discussions, and more! No registration required. You can choose which events you would like to attend and are not obligated to go weeks when the activity is not of interest to you.
Johnson County Senior Housing and Services Fair

TRAIL of Johnson County – providing Tools and Resources for Active Independent Living – is offering older adults and their families this FREE opportunity to visit with 35+ exhibitors from local senior-living communities, at home medical and non-medical service providers, and more. Attendees will receive a free copy of TRAIL’s 2025 Johnson County Senior Housing & Services Guide, a 60-page booklet sharing local resources that help older adults age more safely and comfortably in the places they call home.

It’s time for our first PIZZA PARTY of the summer! We’ll have a variety of pizzas from Marco’s for lunch and afterward we’ll play a few rounds of BINGO, which is free to play with the chance to win small prizes!
Registration for lunch is $5 and required for all who attend lunch. Participants must register before noon on Thursday, June 19th. Call the Rec Center to register (319)626-5716 or go online to your RecDesk Account and register yourself.
55+ Connections: Friday Meal Raffles
Thanks to a generous donor, we have 100 free meals to give away to participants of the 55+ Connections Friday Lunch! We have decided to hold raffles every week for the rest of 2025 to distribute these meals. Three names will be drawn weekly and the three winners will have the cost of lunch that day refunded to them. Anyone who is registered for lunch can participate, but you can’t win twice in one month. Our June 13th winners are: Bill N., Twilla M., and Pam V. Congrats!
