Centennial Park Wedding and Gala Bookings
The Centennial Center is an excellent venue to host a wedding ceremony, reception, dinner or business Gala. The Event Hall offers a bright and airy industrial space for a wide range of programs and gatherings. Oversized windows along the south wall and ceiling let natural light into the 5,000 square-foot space featuring tall ceilings, exposed steel beams, wood pillars and polished concrete floors.
The Center is equipped with modern audio-visual equipment and built-in colored accent lighting to customize every event, offers two private dressing rooms and a catering kitchen.
Attached to the south side of the building is a stage and amphitheatre, which can double as a ceremony space or an outdoor patio. Additionally, several play structures in the park provide additional entertainment for young event guests and the park’s great lawn and pond offer a lovely photo backdrop.
Capacity
The Event Hall inside Centennial Center can accommodate:
- 300 people for a seated meal, tables and chairs
- 400 people in theater style, chairs only
- 500 people for a standing room only, no table or chairs
Bookings
- The Event Hall is available for rentals year-round and may be reserved up to 18 months in advance. Certain dates may be reserved for City programs or special events.
- Wedding & Gala package rentals are available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 a.m.
- Events must end by 11 p.m. with all personal property and guests out of the Event Hall by 12 a.m.
- The Centennial Center building will only be unlocked when an event is booked.
- Centennial Center staff will set tables and chairs for Wedding & Gala rentals before the rental time begins so Renter can begin decorating right away.
- Several standard table and chair layout options will be available to select from.
- When it is time to tear down, the Renter only needs to take the items they brought in. City staff will tear down tables and chairs.
- Due to the Event Hall and Amphitheatre being connected, they will not be rented to two separate customers with coinciding events. This may mean somewhat limited indoor Event Hall rentals from May to September when the stage is available.
- The Centennial Center is located within a public park and park rules must be followed, including that the use of tobacco, nicotine, vape and other electronic smoking devices are prohibited in North Liberty parks, parking lots, trails, and public recreation areas.
Packages
Two package types are available for any large function that requires extended hours, production and assistance setting up tables and chairs.
- Package A is a one-day rental that includes access to the space for up to 12 consecutive hours.
- Package B is a two-day option designed for those needing to get in the day before the main event for setup and includes use of the Amphitheatre for a ceremony or cocktail hour.
The contracted times for the building will be between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 a.m. Events must end by 11 p.m. with all personal property and guests out of the Event Hall by 12 a.m.
Pricing
Package B, the two-day package, is designed for those needing to get in the day before the main event for setup. The Amphitheatre stage may also be used for a ceremony location or as a cocktail hour before the reception starts. Please note that Event Hall chairs and tables may not be taken outside onto the stage or lawn.
Package Details

- A $1,000 non-refundable down payment is required at the time of contracting to guarantee the space and date.
- Renters may bring in a food and/or alcohol caterer of their choice as the City does not offer food and beverage services.
- Alcohol is allowed within the Event Hall with a $250 damage deposit. The deposit may be returned after the event. The alcohol policy must be followed.
- Balance of the rental fee is due 30 days prior to event date. Any additional add-ons after initial contracting will due at this time as well.
- Rental includes:
- Use of tables and chairs for inside the Event Hall. Centennial Center staff will setup tables and chairs.
- Built-in, customizable uplighting on the upper walls.
- Audio-visual equipment including screen and projectors, microphones, Wi-Fi and assisted listening devices.
- Use of the Audio-Visual equipment does not include AV Tech during the event.
- A staff member will be onsite to assist with set up and issues but not to run the equipment for the event.
- Access to the catering kitchen (for prep and service).
- Access to two private dressing rooms, each with a private bathroom.
- Free, hard surface parking for over 280 vehicles (which may also be used by park visitors)
