What time does everything happen?
Fire & Ice is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025. All activities are available and free at any time you arrive.
The fire performers will take a short breaks between performances, but there will be (2) 20-minute shows each hour.
The only program taking place at a specific time is the firework display, which will take place from 8:00 to 8:15 p.m. to conclude the event.
Where will the fireworks launch from?
The 15-minute firework finale will begin at 8 p.m. and launch from the park’s north ball field. There isn’t a bad view from anywhere in the park. Many attendees also enjoy the winter show from their vehicle and nearby neighborhoods.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, your dog is allowed if they are on a leash and you pick up after them. However, there are many lights and pyrotechnics in the park that may spook your canine friend, so please use your best judgment. We highly recommend you take your dog home prior to the 8 p.m. firework display.
Is there a weather cancellation plan?
Generally, Fire & Ice will be canceled if the forecasted temperature during an event shows frostbite times of 30 minutes or less (according to the National Weather Service), but will do so in consultation with City staff and event vendors to make the best decision for the safety of staff, volunteers and attendees. In the event of cancellation, programming would not be rescheduled, however fireworks would be.
