Hometown Rewards – Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting the Assistant City Administrator with the implementation of the Hometown Rewards program in North Liberty, Iowa. The Project Coordinator is a member of the Hometown Rewards program committees.
Responsibilities Meeting facilitation – including space reservation, invitations and supplies
Communication – note-taking, group emails, outreach emails to prospective partners
Writing Hometown Rewards action plan
Project/event coordination Advertising and outreach execution
Volunteer coordination and recruitment Partner recruitment (local business involvement)
Timeline management Budget/payment/invoice coordination
Hours of Work – 20 to 30 hours per week with flexibility. Term of employment: summer 2012 at a minimum. The position has the potential to expand throughout the remainder of 2012 and through 2013.
Position requirements: Preferred experience/education in sustainability planning, public relations, and/or marketing. Strong organizational and communication skills desired.

Library – Part-time Library Page
The North Liberty Community Library is accepting applications for a part-time Library Page. Applicant must be 16 years of age and available evenings and weekends 20 hours per week. Hourly rate $8.79. Water Pollution Control Plant – Seasonal Laborer
The City of North Liberty is accepting applications for a full-time seasonal laborer at the Water Pollution Control Plant. Duties will include maintenance of equipment, mowing, painting and general duties as assigned. Hourly rate $10.65. Applicant must be 18 years of age. This position will start June 25th. Recreation Department – Pools & Instructors
Lifeguards/Pool Managers: Supervise and watch patrons using pools.
Swim Lesson Personnel: Assist with swim lesson instruction to children.
Pool Admissions: Handle daily admissions and daily check-in for the pools. (Summer Only).
Class Instructors: Do you have a special interest or hobby you would like to offer to others? Examples include art, dance or gymnastics. It could lead to a part-time job.
NLRC is willing to work with flexible schedules.
Recreation Department – Class Instructors, Aerobics Instructors
The Recreation Department is continually seeking individuals interested in teaching a variety of leisure and fitness classes on a contractual basis. We are also looking for certified aerobics and water fitness instructors. Fire Department – Volunteer Firefighters
The North Liberty Volunteer Fire Department is looking for individuals over the age of 18 who live or work in Penn or Madison Townships (this includes all of North Liberty and some surrounding area) to serve as volunteer firefighters. We currently are seeking those available weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Address questions to Chief Eric Vandewater or Asst. Chief Bryan Hardin.
