Pool manager, lifeguards and swim instructors

The North Liberty Aquatic Center is currently a hiring pool manager, lifeguards and swim instructors. Candidates should be at least 15 years old and experience with kids and swimming is strongly
encouraged. Instructors without experience will be trained and lifeguards need Red Cross certifications. Recreation Department – Concession Stand Cashier

Duties: Responsible for prompt, professional, safe, and sanitary operation of the concession stand facility and equipment.
Qualifications: Ability to demonstrate basic math and money handling skills while working in a fast paced environment. Knowledge in the operation of concession equipment such as cash register, grill, pop machine, ice cream machine, popcorn machine, and the like. Good communication skills, honest, dependable, responsible, and a desire to serve the public. Position requires light to medium work, exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force constantly. 10 to 25 hours per week, $9.15, with available shifts Monday through Friday from 11:45-3:45 and 3:45-7:45, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:45-6. Recreation Department – Counselors

Supervise children for City of North Liberty’s Before & After School Programs. Work directly with children in leading games, activities, arts, and crafts. Light cleaning duties are involved as well.  Must be able to obtain a chauffeur’s license. Post-offer physical, drug screen and background check required.

Part-time Positions:  10-30 hrs per week.
Work Schedule:  Before school: M-F 6:45-8:45am, After School: M-F 2:30-6:00pm. TH 1:30-6:00.  Other youth programs as needed. We will work around your schedule!
Job Beginning/Ending Dates:  ASAP; year round.
Qualifications:  16 years or older.
Starting Wage:  $8.98 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Recreation Department – Front Desk/Building Monitor/Off Site Position

Work Schedule: The possible hours that we need are Monday-Friday, 11:45 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 7:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., or 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.. There could also be additional hours for special events and after hour rentals.
Rate of Pay: $8.96
Hours per Week: 10-30
Job Beginning/Ending Dates: ASAP to Ongoing
Duties: The duties will consist of answering phones, greet patrons, registrations, supervising the facility, answering patron questions and other duties as assigned.

The Recreation Department is continually seeking individuals interested in teaching a variety of leisure and fitness classes on a contractual basis. Fire Department – Volunteer Firefighters

The North Liberty Volunteer Fire Department is looking for individuals over the age of 18 who live or work in Penn or Madison Townships (this includes all of North Liberty and some surrounding area) to serve as volunteer firefighters. We currently are seeking those available weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Address questions to Chief Eric Vandewater or Asst. Chief Bryan Hardin.
