Police Officer

The City of North Liberty is accepting resumes for full time Police Officers. Applicants must meet
minimum state standards. Post offer physical, drug screen and back ground check required. Send cover
letter, resume and three professional references to: North Liberty Police Department, P.O. Box 77,

Additional Information:
The Police Department will start the hiring process in March, 2012.
All applicants must meet ILEA standards. Physical testing will be required of all applicants. Post test
required of all non‐certified applicants—fee to test is $30.
Starting wage for non‐certified officer is $16.07; after six months of employment wage is $18.08.
Starting wage for certified officer is $18.08; after six months of employment wage is $20.09.
Testing dates will be posted at a later date.

Wastewater Plant Operator I

The City of North Liberty (population 14,000) is accepting resumes for a Wastewater Plant Operator I to
work at the city’s Membrane Bioreactor Wastewater Treatment Facility. Duties include plant operation,
laboratory testing and maintenance of plant and lift stations. Mechanical and electrical experience in
working with equipment is highly desirable. Applicant must possess or have the ability to possess a
Grade I Wastewater Operator Certificate within 18 months of employment. Iowa Class B CDL with air
brake endorsement is required. Starting salary $16.66 ‐ $19.56 DOQ. Post offer physical, drug screen

Recreation Department – Pools & Instructors

Lifeguards/Pool Managers: Supervise and watch patrons using pools.
Swim Lesson Personnel: Assist with swim lesson instruction to children.
Pool Admissions: Handle daily admissions and daily check-in for the pools. (Summer Only).
Class Instructors: Do you have a special interest or hobby you would like to offer to others? Examples include art, dance or gymnastics. It could lead to a part-time job.

Recreation Department – Class Instructors, Aerobics Instructors

The Recreation Department is continually seeking individuals interested in teaching a variety of leisure and fitness classes on a contractual basis. We are also looking for certified aerobics and water fitness instructors. Fire Department – Volunteer Firefighters

The North Liberty Volunteer Fire Department is looking for individuals over the age of 18 who live or work in Penn or Madison Townships (this includes all of North Liberty and some surrounding area) to serve as volunteer firefighters. We currently are seeking those available weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Address questions to Chief Eric Vandewater or Asst. Chief Bryan Hardin.
