Street Department – Laborer I
Applications are being accepted for full-time Laborer I with the City of North Liberty. Applicant must have knowledge and experience in construction and related equipment and concrete flatwork. Applicant will provide general labor support for street, storm water and wastewater line maintenance departments. Valid Class B CDL with air-brake endorsement and tanker required or the ability to obtain within 30 days. Salary DOQ. Post-offer physical, drug screen and background screen required. Police Department – Officer
The City of North Liberty is accepting resumes for certified and non-certified Police Officers. Applicants must meet minimum state standards and are required to live within 30 minutes of North Liberty. Post offer physical and drug screen required. Minimum starting hourly rate is $16.34 for non-certified officers. Send resume and three professional references to: North Liberty Police Department, P.O. The Police Department will be adding three full-time officers in the next 12 months. All applicants must meet ILEA standards. The post test and physical testing will be required of non-certified officers. Physical testing will be required for certified officers.
The Police Department currently works 10 hour shifts. Minimum starting hourly rate is $16.34 for non-certified officers plus an excellent benefit package. 40 hours of vacation is granted after six months of employment and 80 hours after the first year. Physical testing and post test will be April 10th.
Market Master
The City of North Liberty is currently looking for a Market Master to run the 2010 Farmers’ Market Season. Hours would be 12-4:30pm each Sunday. Previous market experience is required.

Fire Department – Volunteer Firefighters
The North Liberty Volunteer Fire Department is looking for individuals over the age of 18 who live or work in Penn or Madison Townships (this includes all of North Liberty and some surrounding area) to serve as volunteer firefighters. We currently are seeking those available weekdays between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Address questions to Chief Eric Vandewater or Asst. Chief Bryan Hardin. Recreation Department – Aquatic Facility Positions
The Recreation Department is accepting applications for pool personnel such as lifeguards and swim lesson instructors. Opportunities currently include part time and full time positions for summer. All applicants are required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. If interested, individuals can stop by the Rec Center at 520 W. Recreation Department – Class Instructors, Aerobics Instructors
The Recreation Department is continually seeking individuals interested in teaching a variety of leisure and fitness classes on a contractual basis. We are also looking for certified aerobics and water fitness instructors.
