The Board of Adjustment hears and decides appeals on errors by the Code Official, variances and conditional uses. The board can approval variances when the variance meets seven criteria: due unique circumstances, it’s not exclusively for financial gain, the hardship is not self-created, substantial rights aren’t otherwise denied, it’s not a special privilege, it’s not detrimental and there is no other remedy.
If a meeting is called, it will be on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at City Council Chambers. You can attend these meetings live in person, or watch them online.
