No parking on North Liberty streets while snow emergency still in effect, North Liberty library, recreation center and city offices close at 3 p.m.

The North Liberty Community Library, the North Liberty Recreation Center and all North Liberty city offices will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 09.

Additionally, a snow emergency, which went into effect Tuesday, December 8 at 1 p.m., is still in effect in North Liberty. This means no parking on North Liberty streets will be permitted. No parking on streets during snow emergencies ensures streets are clear for effective snow removal and other road maintenance. Snow plowing in North Liberty will resume this evening.

Any vehicles in violation of the ordinance may be ticketed and towed without notice. Each 12-hour period that a vehicle is parked or remains on any street in violation of this ordinance constitutes a separate and distinct offense.

When the snow emergency is lifted, the information will be posted on the City website (www.northlibertyiowa.org) as soon as possible.

The City of North Liberty encourages residents to stay off the roads and avoid any unnecessary travel.
