Switch Hitter

Happy Friday blog readers!  Looks like we’re in for a pretty nice weekend.  Just what we need for the big game tomorrow.

Sub-grade work has begun on the small section of Forevergreen Road, west of Jones Boulevard.  Paving should begin on this section as early as Monday.  This section should be completely paved within the next couple of weeks.  Work continues on the intersection as well.  With most of the working happening in one small area, it can get pretty crowed at the Forevergreen/Jones intersection.  Be cautious as you travel this area.

As you may know by now, traffic was shifted yesterday from the east side to the west side on Highway 965.  The shift was seamless with little delay caused to the motorists.  Much appreciation to the contractors for their work on this.  Work has now begun on the east side of the road.  The construction crew will start work at the north end and work down towards Forevergreen Road.

Next week, the Holiday Lodge Road and Golfview Drive intersections are slated to close so that intersection improvements can begin.  The Holiday Lodge Road intersection should reopen within four weeks.  Golfview Drive will remain closed permanently as the realignment will soon be completed.

We are anticipating that Ashley Court and Lions Drive will close the week of September 20th.  With these closings, folks needing to access businesses on or near Lions Drive will need to use Hawkeye Drive.  Those wanting to access Ashley Court should use Sara Court.  A map is attached to this blog that should help motorist access the businesses along the east side of Highway 965.

Take care for now and stay tuned.
