North Liberty staff goes Casual for Kids

August 31, 2011 — At the August 9 North Liberty City Council meeting, Mayor Salm (along with other corridor mayors) claimed September 1 to be “Corridor Goes Casual for Kids Day.”  The intent of day is for people to dress casual in honor of kids and, for those that participate, to donate $5 to a charity for kids.
City Administrator Ryan Heiar has asked all city employees to participate tomorrow by wearing a favorite t-shirt to work. So, instead of the usual uniform, North Liberty staff will wear their favorite T-shirts!
There will be a money jar at City Hall’s front desk to collect donations from staff and the public. As people put money in the jar, they may submit the name of a children’s charity. The City of North Liberty will then grant the funds to whichever charity collects the most votes.
Please, join North Liberty tomorrow in supporting the children of this corridor!
