Dubuque Street Trail Grand Opening this Friday

October 11, 2011 — On Friday, October 14, 2011, the North Liberty City Council and the Johnson County Board of Supervisors will host the grand opening of the Dubuque Street Trail Project. This event celebrates the official opening of the bicycle and pedestrian trail connection from Iowa City along Dubuque Street to the north city limits of North Liberty on Front Street.
At 4:00 p.m. on Friday, the public is invited to join the elected officials for the grand opening and ceremonial ribbon cutting on the trail at the intersection of Juniper Street and Dubuque Street. The program will also include speakers and refreshments. Parking is available on street along Juniper Street and in the parking lot at Beaver Kreek Center.
