July 4 trash pickup and city hours

June 26, 2012 — Though July 4 falls on a Wednesday this year, North Liberty trash service from Johnson County Refuse will be normal. Residents should have trash and recycling ready for pickup by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4 as per usual.
City offices, including City Hall and Community Library, will be closed Wednesday, July 4 in observance of the holiday. However, the Recreation Center will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The morning schedule for the indoor pool is for aerobics, lap swim and lessons; the afternoon schedule is for open swim only, as there are not afternoon lessons. The outdoor pool is open from noon to 6:00 p.m. For more on Recreation Center hours and activities, call 319-626-5716.
Finally, city council is meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. rather than 7:00 p.m. This is permanent change to the city council meeting start time.
