Operation ReLeaf: Come get a tree!

The Parks Department is hosting Alliant Energy’s Operation ReLeaf Residential Tree Distribution in North Liberty along with Alliant Energy and the Iowa DNR Forestry Bureau. We are having the event Saturday, September 22 from 9 am – 11:00 am at the North Liberty Community Center. The trees are available to all Alliant Energy customers for $25 per tree. The link has been updated, so check out the PDF of the order form. The $25 is about a third of the actual value of the tree. Alliant Energy is contributing the remaining amount. We will have free mulch available at the Community Center to anyone that purchases a tree.
The trees are going fast so if you are interested please fill out the pre-order form and send along with your check to the City of North Liberty. There is also a free tree planting workshop hosted by the DNR on September 22 if you are interested in getting your hands dirty. Click here for more information on that workshop. Bring your kids so they can get dirty too. We will be planting a tree at the Community Center.
