Power outage Friday will affect Community Center opening and summer camp drop-offs

Construction at the North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St., will require the building to be without power for several hours starting at 4 a.m. Friday, June 21. The outage will delay the facility’s opening until 8:15 a.m.
On that morning, summer campers who normally meet at the Community Center will meet at Buford Garner Elementary School, 80 Birch St., between 7 and 8:30 a.m. The campers will be transported to the Community Center once power has been restored. Swimming lessons at the aquatics center will proceed as planned. The power outage is not expected to affect the North Liberty Community Library’s daily operations.
