Reconstruction of south Jones Boulevard moving forward
South Jones Boulevard remains closed from Forevergreen Road to St. Andrews Drive as construction continues with phase two and phase three begins.
Infrastructure on the second phase, from just south of the northern intersection with Hauer Drive to just south of the southern intersection with Hauer Drive, is nearly complete, and in the coming weeks, that section of south Jones Boulevard will be removed and reconstructed.
In addition to the continued work on phase two, placement of infrastructure for phase three, south of the southern intersection with Hauer Drive, will begin.
The reconstruction of south Jones Boulevard is similar to the reconstruction that took place on north Jones Boulevard. The inconvenience of the closure will ultimately result in North Liberty having a safer north-south connection from Forevergreen Road to Penn Street as development continues on the city’s west side.
The project is expected to last until the end of construction season in the late fall of 2013. During this time, residents will have access to their homes.
These and other project-related notices will be available on the City of North Liberty’s website site at northlibertyiowa.org/projects.
