Updated: Highway 965 to a single lane for shoulder work in North Liberty
Posted on: July 16, 2013
Update: This work has been delayed to Monday, July 22.
Workers are expected to pour road shoulders at the intersection of Pheasant Lane and Highway 965 on Friday, July 19, and Friday, July 26. Highway 965 will be open to north- and south-bound traffic both days, but the highway will be down to a single lane with flaggers around the intersection. Residents should allow for extra travel time.
Additionally, afterhours saw cutting, a necessary step to prevent fresh concrete from shrinking and cracking, is scheduled to begin outside of normal working hours on these days and work is likely to go into the night and early morning hours. To help with associated noise and dust, residents near the project are asked to keep their windows closed.
