Be Part of the Biggest, Best Group Photo of the Century
At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, North Liberty residents and visitors are invited to gather at the North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry, for a group photo to help commemorate the city’s centennial year.
The photo will conclude the day’s Centennial Finale’s activities, which begin at 8 a.m. with a waffle breakfast benefiting the Friends of the Community Library, and continue at 10 a.m. with free kids’ activities, a mural unveiling, time capsule, and, of course, birthday cake. A detailed schedule of the day can be found at northliberty100.org.
The evening — and centennial year’s celebrations — will conclude with a gala event at the South Slope Community Center, 980 N Front St., starting with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the red-carpet event include dinner, drinks and entertainment by engaging pianist Eben Seaman.
Tickets to the gala event are $100 a pair and can be purchased at North Liberty branches of Great Western Bank and the University of Iowa Community Credit Union, North Liberty City Hall, or by e-mailing [email protected].
